Recently, we heard from China Building Materials Federation & Chinese Ceramic Society that “the industrialization of technological development of fused silica crucible for solar poly-crystalline silicon” project which jointly completed  by Sinoma Advanced Materials Co., Ltd and Jiangxi Sinoma New Solar Materials Co., Ltd won the first prize for science & technology progress of the construction materials science & technology awards.

Sinoma Advanced Materials Co., Ltd is a state high-tech enterprise which was converted from Research Institute of Shandong Industrial & Ceramics and Research Institute of Sinoma Synthetic Crystals. As early as the nineties of the last century, it has developed the fine fused silica ceramics manufacturing technology and quartz ceramic roller products for the glass level steel furnace which was a initiative in domestic and has reached the world advanced level, and it won the third prize of state scientific and technological progress. It has already 20-year histories in research, development and producing fine fused silica ceramics, and it is one of the world’s largest fine fused silica ceramics production bases. During that period, it adopted the self-developed quartz ceramic gel-casting technology and successfully developed the fused silica crucible for solar poly-crystalline silicon which is the world’s origination.

In order to meet the growing development of solar poly-crystalline silicon ingot needs of the fused silica crucible and to break the monopoly of foreign products, Sinoma Advanced Materials Co., Ltd established Jiangxi Sinoma New Solar Materials Co., Ltd which under its control in Xinyu, Jiangxi Province, and completed the industrialization of technological development work of the fused silica crucible for solar poly-crystalline silicon as well as an annual output of 50000 fused silica crucible production line. The products has been detected by the national statutory bodies, the main properties has reached or exceeded the similar foreign products. It can fully meet the requirements of solar poly-crystalline silicon ingot by the using of domestic and foreign customers.

The fused silica crucible is an irreplaceable key consumable part in the process of solar poly-crystalline silicon ingot, the product has been successfully developed and industrialization application.
